Likewise, most business owners and entrepreneurs shy away from opportunities because of a fear of being judged. 4: Don’t Be Afraid of Backlash
We all witnessed a sudden social media eruption when Bishop Curry, the first Episcopal Bishop in America took the podium. Several African Americans on the social media appreciated his delivery. For those who visit the black church often know that the delivery could appear a little exaggerated to some. But it certainly did not stop Bishop Curry from bringing the black church experience into the Royal Wedding.
There was a point during the ceremony when he paused and said, “Now let’s get y’all married”.
Most of the people who attended the Royal Wedding were surprised by Bishop Curry’s message. It is however important to take a note that this was a Royal wedding and every minute detail that might have come as a shock to everybody else didn’t shock the Royals as they were the ones to approve it in the first place.
This means that the Royal couple knew that his delivery could cause some backlash among the people who didn’t understand the black church. Lastly, just know that the princess refused to let this stop her from moving ahead.
